Our match results work via an automated electronic system.  The results become available at midnight.  There was talk throughout the class of everyone checking their results at midnight, camping at each others house for immediate celebration or cheering up.  I however, felt like crap (I would later consider this to be a combination of caffeine withdrawal and nervous breakdown).  I also had a make up APFT (fitness exam) since I missed the prior one while completing my remediation.  So, rather than staying up late, I slept.  I slept early.  I woke up late. If you have been following along with my struggles in third year internal medicine, you may be well aware of my testing circumstances.  In summary, to prevent rereading for small details, I fell short of passing the shelf (a standardized test utilized as a final) by one point during my first attempt at third year medicine.  As part of my remediation ordeal, I would need to retake and pass the test.  However, the small print indicated that I would not be able to do so until after completion of both my third year component and my fourth year intensive component.  The cool thing is my schedule lined up perfectly with the third years and their te

Recalling "a brief rant," particularly addressing my disappointment with those who elect to rear end park and then fail miserably, I have decided to revisit the subject matter briefly to add on additional traffic related grievances. 1.) Parking - Ever watch "Finding Nemo?" You know the scene when Nemo's father reminds him of the proper way to check your surroundings before leaving the security of a sea anemone?  Well I find observation of people parking backwards poorly to be very similar and equally repetitive and annoying.  I now short hand reference this parking tactic as "clownfishing."
